If you've wanted to deepen your understanding of the yoga practice beyond the public studio asana practice, now is the time to learn from some of the most tenured teachers and practioners in San Francisco. This training is a rare opportunity to study with a diverse faculty who are a reflection of the San Francisco population that they serve. 

 

You will deepen your understanding and practice of all eight limbs of yoga and develop a personal Sadhana (a personal daily practice) to live your dharma (your unique purpose or path) with compassion, to be of service to others as a healing agent in our world. Whether you choose to be a Yoga teacher or simply live your yoga as a way of life, this wholistic program will give you the tools for more physical and mental health, peace and joy in the midst of the many challenges we face.

Sequencing and teaching asana, practicing pranayama and leading meditation are all taught interwoven with exploring and practicing yoga’s rich history and teachings on Sanskrit, chakras, mantras and mudras, spiritual texts such as the Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita. Taught for 25 Years, our training is adapted to support your unique voice and life through yogic lifestyle practices like Ayurveda and taught through the lens of trauma informed yoga, inclusivity and social equity to make yoga accessible to every body.

Through group practice and lectures taught by our inspiring teachers, in-class teaching practice, 1:1 mentorship, self-inquiry, personal practice and homework assignments - you will uncover your unique voice & be empowered to teach if you choose, in an authentic way, aligned with your truest self.​​

Prerequisites

 

Minimum of 1 year of ongoing vinyasa practice along with a sincere desire to deepen your practice and a willingness to immerse yourself fully in yoga's life-changing path

Rowena will be a guest faculty member at Neil Wadhawan's 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, teaching the Anatomy, Physiology, and Alignment portion of the syllabus. If you've wanted to deepen your understanding of the yoga practice beyond the public studio asana practice, now is the time to learn from some of the most tenured teachers and practioners in San Francisco. This training is a rare opportunity to study with faculty for whom yoga is part of their heritage and culture as South East Asian Americans.

 

This immersive training delves into yoga's rich history, profound philosophy, and the essential techniques to empower you to teach yoga. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner, a budding teacher, or simply seeking to deepen your understanding, this program will ignite your practice and empower you to discover your authentic voice. Open minds of all levels are welcome. Upon completion of training, you will have accomplished RYT-200 hours of Yoga Alliance certified training and have the option to register in the YA directory.
